James Burdett
Chairman of the Board
James Burdett, After over 25 years working with various government agencies in the field of public safety, James started Burdett Polygraph Services and now works full-time as a polygraph examiner. James is a member of the American Polygraph Association, and was trained at the Backster School of Lie Detection. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
Martha Lugo
Vice president- Private Sector
Martha Lugo is a bilingual polygraph examiner and owner of Bilingual Polygraph & Investigations of Colorado. She's a graduate of the American International Institute of Polygraph. She holds a Master of Arts degree in counseling and a bachelor's degree in social psychology. She's a former probation officer. She has worked in the criminal legal field for close to four decades.
Scott Smith
President
Scott serves as the Deputy Inspector General at the Colorado Department of Corrections, Office of the Inspector General, drawing from his 27-year tenure in law enforcement. Scott holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver and is licensed to practice law in Colorado, while also leveraging his expertise as a trained polygraph examiner for over a decade.
Peter Berryhill
Vice President- Law Enforcement
Peter M. Berryhill is a law enforcement professional with over 25 years of service, currently serving as an Investigative Sergeant with the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office in Durango, Colorado. He has extensive experience in major crimes, narcotics and undercover investigations, internal affairs, SWAT, and task force operations, and has been a polygraph examiner for more than five years after graduating from The Polygraph Institute in 2020.
