About Us

The Colorado Association of Polygraph Examiners (C.A.P.E.) was founded and officially registered as a corporation with the State of Colorado on February 23, 1962.  The C.A.P.E. officially accepted as a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation on  February 16, 1973, and has kept that status to this date.

​

  1. To advance the technique of deception of detection.

  2. To establish and maintain a standard of ethics and professional qualifications in the polygraph profession.

  3. To act as a central agency in clearing and distributing material relating to deception of detection.

  4. That no part of net earnings will ever enter to the benefit of any individual member.
